Privacy policy
Updated October 4, 2026 · Ternly is a Bluebird Technologies product, operated by Xinghu Lu in British Columbia, Canada.
Information we use
The public demo uses sample data and stores your demo edits in your browser. It does not connect to Slack. When you install the live app, we process your workspace ID and name, Slack member IDs and display names, user groups, public channel names, schedules, and temporary coverage. We store encrypted installation tokens and a secure session cookie. We do not request access to message history.
Why we use it
We use this information to authenticate workspace managers, calculate on-call coverage, update the user groups you select, deliver configured handoff notifications, and provide support. Your support emails are used to respond to your requests.
Service providers
The service uses Vercel for hosting, Supabase for database storage, and Slack for workspace integration. These providers may process information outside Canada. Stripe is used for billing. New paid subscriptions are not yet open. Stripe collects payment and billing contact details. Ternly stores Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan status and billing dates; it does not store payment card numbers. No paid plans are currently offered to the public. Encrypted recovery backups are stored as private GitHub artifacts for up to 30 days.
Retention and deletion
Uninstalling the app triggers deletion of its workspace records, encrypted tokens, sessions, and schedules when Slack delivers the uninstall event. Contact us if you need deletion without uninstalling, or if the event is delayed. Billing records are kept separately to handle subscription cancellation, refunds and billing questions, and to prevent trial resets. Uninstalling does not cancel a Stripe subscription: use Plans & billing before uninstalling, or contact support. Deleted data may remain in encrypted recovery backups until their 30-day retention period ends. Provider operational logs may persist according to the provider's retention settings. Session cookies expire after seven days. You can clear demo data using Reset demo or your browser settings.
Your choices
You can review permissions in Slack, pause a rotation, uninstall the app, and request access, correction, or deletion of your information. We do not sell personal information or use advertising trackers in the app.
