Terms of service
Effective October 4, 2026 · Ternly is a Bluebird Technologies product, operated by Xinghu Lu in British Columbia, Canada.
The service
Ternly is an early-stage scheduling tool for Slack. The public demo is illustrative and makes no changes to a Slack workspace. Live installations allow authorized workspace managers to configure rotations, temporary coverage, group membership updates, and channel notifications.
Workspace authorization
You must have permission to install the app and manage the Slack groups you select. Activating a rotation replaces the selected group's membership with the scheduled person. Pausing stops future synchronization and leaves the current Slack group membership in place. Use a dedicated on-call group and keep your schedule accurate.
Availability and appropriate use
Schedules and notifications depend on Slack, hosting, and database availability. This early-access service has no uptime or response-time guarantee and is not an emergency dispatch or life-safety system. Maintain another way to contact your team when timely response is essential. Do not use the service unlawfully, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with other workspaces.
Billing and cancellation
Installing Ternly starts a 14-day trial without a payment card. The trial never converts automatically into a paid subscription. You are charged only when an authorized workspace administrator chooses a plan and confirms a subscription through Stripe Checkout.
Subscription prices are in US dollars, per Slack workspace, before applicable taxes. The plan, amount and monthly or annual billing interval are shown before payment. An annual subscription is charged for the full year in advance. Your bank may apply currency conversion charges. A paid Slack plan is separate from Ternly.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the selected interval until cancelled. Administrators can cancel renewal in Plans & billing; access continues through the paid period. Uninstalling Ternly does not cancel a subscription. If you have already uninstalled or cannot access billing, contact us to cancel renewal.
Upgrades can charge a prorated amount immediately, shown for confirmation in Stripe. Downgrades and changes to a shorter billing interval take effect at the end of the current period. If payment fails, we allow a three-day retry period before paid scheduling access stops. Without an active subscription or complimentary access, schedule management and automated handoffs stop when the trial or paid access ends; Slack groups keep their last members.
Refunds and billing help
Cancelling renewal does not automatically refund the current billing period or unused time. For a duplicate or incorrect charge, or a service problem, email ternlyteam@gmail.com with your workspace name and invoice number. We review refund requests individually and confirm the outcome with you. Approved refunds go to the original payment method. These terms do not affect any refund rights required by applicable law.
Data and contact
Our privacy policy explains how we process workspace information. Contact ternlyteam@gmail.com for support, account deletion, or questions. We may update the service and these terms as development continues. These terms do not limit rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
